Applying the boron nitride coatings of the type Solder-Stop BN25 and Solder-Stop BN10 prevent a running of the melts during brazing on unwanted areas of the workpiecees. Here the areas to be protected can be coated similar to paints by brushing or spraying. They show a very good melt rejecting and separating effect and can be used up to 1000°C. Solder-Stop BN25 and Solder-Stop BN10 are compatible with most solders like copper solders, silver solders, or AlSi-solders. They are suitable for the braze welding of iron, copper and nickel materials as for aluminium. As a quick drying version the product Boron-Nitride-Coating Grade E is available. Easy and quick application is possible by ALU-STOP BN-A Boron Nitride Aerosol.
